Welcome Raina Rodriguez, the NFTA's new Benefits Coordinator in the Human Resources Department. With extensive experience in benefits administration, payroll, labor relations, and HR support, Raina brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to our team.
Before joining the NFTA, Raina worked for the City of Niagara Falls. Her experience includes serving as a company liaison to insurance providers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues. She has coordinated the development, implementation, and communication of all benefit plans in response to policy, procedure, and collective bargaining agreement changes. Raina's background also includes managing various plans for employee and retiree programs, including group insurance, LTD, disability, COBRA, dental, vision, FSA, FMLA, HRA's, and various pension plans. She has extensive experience interpreting federal and state regulations governing benefit programs and has been responsible for ACA reporting, creditable coverage disclosure, and other required benefit reporting.
Raina holds a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management from SUNY Canton. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and babysitting her nieces and nephews. She is also passionate about art and drawing, particularly self-portraits.
Raina is located on the 4th floor at the MTC. She is working closely with Christine Hart and the HR team to get established in her new role.
