Please join in welcoming The Buffalo Airport Fire Department's three new recruits -- Kelsey McKeown, Nick Long, and Allison Litz-Custer.  

• Kelsey McKeown is a former litigation negotiator with an Associate Degree in Social Sciences. She is also a newlywed and enjoys hiking, camping, and family-time.
  
  
• Nick Long was a carpenter for 5 years and a volunteer firefighter.  He has a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice focused on Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Recreationally, he enjoys playing hockey and hunting.
  
  
• Allison Litz-Custer is a former EMT for Mercy Flight.  She is married to her husband, Ryan, of 8 years. They have 3 children, Scarlett, Lyla, and Wyatt.  

Kelsey, Nick, and Allison were sworn in during a special ceremony with family and friends on Monday, February 7, at the Firehouse  The group will train with Chief Bill Major and the ARFF team until heading to NYS training in April and then to FAA Training in the fall.
